Innolitics is a medical device software and regulatory consulting firm that helps companies develop and obtain FDA clearance for medical devices, including software, AI/ML, cybersecurity, and connected-device products.
We have an established marketing program that includes LinkedIn content, an email newsletter, a significant web presence, and attending conferences. We are seeking a Director-Level Hire to lead Demand Generation for our services, including a heavy focus on Content Marketing. We have existing processes in place for these areas, and seek to expand and improve these efforts while developing new opportunities to generate qualified sales leads.
This is a content-heavy role. You should be comfortable drafting accurate LinkedIn posts, newsletter emails, website copy, and conference materials after reviewing source material and working with subject-matter experts. To accomplish this, we expect you’ll need to learn a significant amount about FDA regulations, software engineering, and cybersecurity issues surrounding AI-enabled SaMD, and related topics.
Success in the role is measured by the volume and quality of leads contributed to the sales pipeline while managing the marketing budget.
Responsibilities 🔗
- Ultimately, your key responsibility is to (a) generate qualified sales leads for our sales team while (b) managing marketing activities within the approved budget.
- Draft and publish at least three LinkedIn posts per week on topics relevant to our clients. See the Innolitics LinkedIn page for examples.
- Draft bi-weekly emails for our newsletter, which reaches more than 2,500 subscribers.
- Work with partners and senior consultants to turn technical expertise into marketing content. Repurpose existing content and identify new industry developments relevant to our clients.
- Own the company's webinar program end-to-end: generate demand to drive registrations, run the webinars, and repurpose recordings into LinkedIn posts and other marketing content.
- Setup and run a podcast on topics of specific interest to our potential clients.
- Manage Google Ads and LinkedIn advertising campaigns, relying on specialist external contractors as needed.
- Plan and manage improvements to the company website, including coordination of designers, developers, and other subcontractors.
- Lead the organization and marketing of conference visits per year, including booth planning, pamphlets, signage, and other marketing materials.
- Work closely with Sales to establish target accounts, determine customer pain points, lost opportunities, content needs, etc.
Requirements 🔗
- At least 8 years of experience marketing with a track record of producing at least $5M/year in qualified leads
- Experience with a B2B professional services firm or comparable expert-led services business is a plus.
- Experience with medical device software, FDA regulations, cybersecurity, AI/ML, and related topics is a strong plus.
- Experience managing lead-generation or demand-generation programs.
- Experience managing LinkedIn content, email newsletters, conferences, digital advertising, or similar marketing channels.
- Strong writing skills and the ability to communicate technical concepts clearly.
- Good visual design sense.
- Strong organizational and project management skills.
- Effective at utilizing AI tools while managing AI slop.
- Experience planning, managing, and hosting thought-leadership programming, including expert panels, webinar-style talks, and recurring events such as weekly coffee chats.
Compensation and Benefits 🔗
- Base salary: $200,000-$250,000 per year.
- Annual bonus opportunity of up to 25% of base salary tied to ambitious lead-generation and business-development goals relative to the baseline demand already generated by the partners.

- Fully remote position, with travel expected for conferences and the annual company retreat.
Candidates are not expected to be experts in every area listed above. The role combines hands-on execution with management of subcontractors and agencies. As our Director of Marketing it is ultimately responsible for delivering a consistent flow of qualified leads to the sales pipeline.
